About Project

Synenco collaborated with Siemens Energy to implement a cutting-edge smart grid system in Berlin, Germany. This project aimed to modernize the city’s energy distribution network by integrating real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and IoT-enabled devices to enhance efficiency, reduce outages, and support renewable energy sources.

The smart grid system was designed to optimize energy flow, balance supply and demand dynamically, and ensure seamless integration of solar and wind energy into the grid. This initiative represents a significant step toward achieving Germany’s ambitious sustainability goals.

Our Client’s Challenge

Siemens Energy faced the challenge of upgrading Berlin’s aging energy infrastructure while ensuring minimal disruption to residents. The existing grid struggled to handle the growing demand for electricity and the intermittent nature of renewable energy sources. The client required a solution that would improve reliability, reduce downtime, and enable real-time decision-making.

Our Approach And Solution

Synenco developed an innovative solution in collaboration with Siemens Energy that included:

Transforming energy distribution with advanced automation and IoT integration.”

Results:

The $15 million project was completed within 24 months, on schedule and under budget. The new smart grid system reduced power outages by 80%, improved energy efficiency by 25%, and enabled Berlin to increase its reliance on renewable energy by 40%. This project set a benchmark for smart grid implementation in urban areas across Europe.
